The Littleton Symphony Orchestra, Jurgen de Lemos, Music Director and Conductor, continues their 32nd season with THE FOUR ELEMENTS : FIRE, on Friday, April 1, 2016, 7:30 p.m. at Littleton United Methodist Church, 5894 S. Datura Street in Littleton.
The next concert in our series THE FOUR ELEMENTS will explore the wonder and intensity of FIRE, opening with de Falla’s dramatic Ritual Fire Dance.
Newly appointed cello professor at DU, Matthew Zalkind, will perform Prokofiev’s formidable Symphony-Concerto in E minor, written under extreme political fire in the USSR. This program will also include selections from Handel’s Music for the Royal Fireworks, Stravinsky’s Firebird Suite, and Joself Strauss’ Feuerfest Polka.
Individual concert tickets are $18/adults, $15/seniors and FREE for youth 21 and under. They may be purchased ahead on-line at www.littletonsymphony.org or at Gorsett Violin Shop, 8100 S.
