Program aimed to help seniors live smarter
With Boston’s elder population projected to approach 125,000 by 2030, the city is hoping to make a series of improvements aimed at making living and navigating the Hub easier for older adults, including creating tax-relief programs, improving crosswalk timing, markings and lighting, and building more affordable housing.
In its newly released three-year plan, called the “Age Friendly Boston Action Plan 2017,” Mayor Martin J. Walsh commits to making the city more age-friendly.
